The female Kurdish fighter who became a poster girl for the Kobane resistance before allegedly being beheaded by Islamic State militants is actually alive and well, it was claimed today.

The woman, known by the pseudonym Rehana, was celebrated as a symbol of hope for the besieged Syrian border city after an image of her making a peace sign was retweeted over 5,000 times.

That picture was followed days later by a gruesome photograph of an ISIS terrorist holding the severed head of a young woman, sparking rumours that Rehana had been savagely murdered.

But now friends of Rehana have told MailOnline that the dead woman in the photograph is in fact a different Kurdish resistance fighter, adding that Rehana managed to escape Kobane during intense fighting there last week and is now believed to be living in southern Turkey.

Speaking of ISIS' sickening propaganda photograph, a journalist who was based in Kobane as recently as last week said the dead woman is not Rehana but another Kurdish resistance fighter.

'She is my friend and I confirm that she is alive. And the picture of beheaded female fighter is not Rehana's picture,' he told MailOnline, speaking on condition of anonymity.

He went on to say that he saw Rehana leave Kobane during intense fighting there last week, shortly before he was forced to do the same thing. 

Although he lost temporarily lost contact with Rehana as they made their separate journeys over the nearby Turkish border, the journalist said he has been informed by friends that she is living as a refugee in Turkey, most likely in the southern Şanliurfa Province.

'She is in Turkey. I will try to gain her number because I lost the connection with her. She evacuated Kobane and I stayed in Kobane. At the beginning of the last clashes Rehana left Kobane,' he said.

MailOnline also spoke to another friend of Rehana's who confirmed the dead woman in the sickening ISIS photograph was not Rehana, who she described as 'the daughter of a martyr'.

'The facial features [of the head in the ISIS photo] are not hers,' she said, refusing to give her name.

However the friend claimed she was not with Rehana, had not seen her since the time the photograph emerged, and no longer had any way of contacting her.

'I can give news on her, but I don't want to talk until I get someone's advice... A person in Kobane has refuted this news [that she is dead], and I'm going to speak to him again tomorrow,' the friend said.

'Everyone's asking about her, using her. And I don't want to talk about her,' she went on to say.

The friends' claims that Rehana is still alive was reinforced by others who says they know Rehana and have spoken to her in recent days.

Among those claiming to have communicated with Rehana is the Syrian/Kurdish journalist Rashad Abdel Qader.

Qader said rumours that she had singlehandedly killed 100 ISIS fighters inside Kobane were untrue, but claimed she was still 'fighting fiercely'.

Fuji music star, Pasuma has completed yet another collaboration with one of Nigeria’s hottest rappers at the moment, Phyno.

The new song by the Wasbar Records boss is titled ‘Am on Fire’ and NET exclusively gathered
that Pasuma has completed work on the pop album he promised his fans sometime last year.

A source in Pasuma’s camp told NET that ‘the album is actually ready but you know Pasuma is a Muslim and Ramadan starts in a few weeks,
so we decided to push back the release of the album till after Ramadan.’

In the last 6 months, Pasuma has been consistent in his determination to release a number of pop singles for his fans.

He has collaborated with superstars like Tiwa Savage , Patoranking and others. The album is now scheduled to drop at the end of July.

In our previous update we brought before you a story of how Nollywood star /The President of the Actors Guild of Nigeria Emeka Ike and his wife Suzanne Rero Emmanuella has been faced with domestic violence in their home , in the report  Emeka Ike’s wife filled a divorce on the ground that her husband as turned her face into a punching bag .

The couple are always having one issue or another base on domestic violence . The Nollywood actor ran into news men recently and Emeka admitted that he and his long time wife had parted way and the divorce was filled by him not Emma which is almost contrary to the initial report.

Meanwhile , she has already moved out of their matrimonial home leaving their four kids under his care .  The nollywood actor is not really happy with what is happening in his family as his home is almost up side down , though the actor has denied ever beating his wife and he said his neighbours in their form Lagos residents can attest to it.
Emeka Ike is pleading and appealing to his wife to come back home as their children are already missing her .  Emeka further said he had never touch her once not even now that their kids are grown up , he said he try to train his kids well so that when they grow up they will be responsible poeple.
According to the nollywood star, he said that the cause of their domestic fight is due to irreconcilable differences and she is trying to get unnecessary sympathy . President Muhammadu Buhari met US President Barack Obama at the White House on Monday.
The meeting marked an effort to shore up relations between the US and the nation with Africa’s largest economy and to seek additional assistance in the fight against terror group, Boko Haram.
The Oval Office meeting was also due to cover the economy and corruption in Nigeria.
In remarks to reporters beforehand, Obama said Buhari had a clear agenda to defeat Boko Haram and to root out corruption in his country.
Obama restated the US readiness to work with Nigeria and ensuring that the African nation could fulfill its potential in providing leadership not just to West Africa but making its mark among the comity of nations.
The US President noted that Nigerians had continued to make significant marks ion different fields outside the shores of Nigeria, saying the nation had the resources to be great.
He pledged the US support for Buhari root out Boko Haram and develop the country.
Obama said he was sure that the Nigerian President had a clear idea of what to do and unwavering in his focus to entrench democratic values in the country.
Buhari took office eight weeks ago after the most closely contested election in Nigeria’s history, which was hailed as its first democratic transition of power in decades.
The Nigerian President hailed the US for “putting pressure” upon the immediate past government in Nigeria to ensure that the March and April elections held, adding that his visit to the US was a product of that pressure.
Obama invited Buhari to Washington after his victory was declared.
White House officials said the fact that Buhari was arriving in Washington so soon after taking office was a sign of the importance the US places on relations with Nigeria.

President Muhammadu Buhari on Sunday arrived Washington DC on a four-day official visit to United States, where he is expected to discuss bilateral issues with President Barrack Obama and other government officials.
The president, who arrived at Joint Based Andrews Airport Washington, was received by the Assistant Secretary of State for Africa, Mrs Linda Thomas-Greenfield, and Mr James Entwistle, US Ambassador to Nigeria.
Others at the airport to receive the President included the Nigerian Ambassador to the United States, Prof. Ade Adefuye, Nigerian embassy officials and governors of Borno, Nasarawa, Imo, Oyo and Edo.
NAN reports that the President, who left the airport straight to the Blair House, his guest house at Pennsylvania Avenue, immediately went into meetings with officials of the United States government.
Buhari and other guests will also be hosted to a dinner by Madeline Albright, the former US Secretary of State.
On Monday, the President is slated to have breakfast meeting on governance to be hosted by the US Vice-President Joe Biden, before his meeting with Obama.
The main event of Buhari on Monday is his meeting with Obama.
NAN reports that the meeting, slated for 11am local time (about 5pm) Nigerian time, will be taking place at the Oval Office White House.
Other events on Monday include Media Chat with the Secretary of Commerce, ECOWAS Ambasssdors in Washington, US Attorney General, Secretary of Treasury and a group of potential investors.
Buhari is also to be hosted to a dinner by the US Chamber of Commerce and Corporate Council.
On Tuesday, the president will have interactive session with the media at 7am and later meet with officials of the World Health Organisation on economic assistance programme for the North-East.
The president will meet with the President of the World Bank group as well as the representative of the Bill Gates Foundation.
He will also meet with the US Secretary of State John Kerry, Director of the CIA and chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff.
Buhari’s meeting with the class of 1980 US Army War College, where the president is an alumnus, will also hold on Tuesday, after which he will address a joint session of the Senate and House committees on Foreign Affairs at the Capitol Hill.
Buhari will address Nigerian Youths in the United States at the Chancery as well as participate in a town hall meeting with Nigerians in Diaspora.
He will wrap up the visit with interactive session with the Nigerian media and the National Democratic Institute before departing for Nigeria on Wednesday.

A man crowned the ugliest man in Uganda has become a dad for the EIGHTH time. Godfrey Baguma, known as Sebabi – which means ‘ugliest of them all’ – suffers from a rare medical condition giving him his distinctive looks.
The 47-year-old married his second wife Kate Namanda, 30, in 2013.
Since then the couple have had six kids – two of Sebabi’s nippers come from his first marriage which
broke up some years ago.
Speaking to KFM, he said:

“I caught her cheating with another man and I assured her our relationship was over. She liked me because of my money, but people kept telling her that she could do better, so she started eloping with another man.”

Sebabi then met Namanda, who was 18 at the time, through his aunt who played go between. He said:

“I stayed with her four years before her people knew where she was. I didn’t want them to see me until we had a child because they would definitely advise her to leave me. She left me when she was six months pregnant but I think she later accepted her fate because she came back two months later.

I told her that I didn’t choose to look the way I do and that if she feels I am a burden, she is free to live me.

But she chose to stay and in 2013 they held a wedding ceremony that put his hometown Kyazanga, in the Lwengo District of Uganda, at a standstill. Guests at the wedding had to pay 4,000 Ugandan shillings (about 70p) to attend the reception and see the woman Sebabi married, MirrorUK reports.

Sebabi is a former cobbler who now uses his unique features to earn a living. He appears at events as Uganda’s Ugliest Man just for people to see him, but he took it a step further by launching a singing career.
He says he doesn’t want to go on stage for people to just stare at him.
